This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I really do love Nan Goldin... if i could spend a day with any famous photographer I would choose her.
I saw her slide shows at the MFA in Houston last year. It was really cool. I feel like she's a normal person like the rest of us not someone who sees herself as a hoyty toyty ARTISTE' I might be wrong but I don't think I am.
Ohh I envy you! I wish I had a chance to see her slideshow. I've read some interviews with her and she really seems to be a very nice and good person. She always talks about love she has for her models.I guess the feeling is mutual, if they let her take photos of them in such intimate situations. Her photography is very respectful and at the same time extremely true and moving.
yeah she's like the opposite of diane arbus. i feel like. arbus was merely capturing images she had charmed her way into getting... but goldin seems to be "one" of the subjects herself... she even does so many self portraits it's like she sees everyone as equals. (she's not asking anyone do show more than she is willing to show of herself you know?)
heyy. I'm so sorry for not answering earlier (can't believe it's been more than 2 weeks now!). I'm going home ( to Poland) right now, so last weeks have all been about packing, saying good bye, closing my bank account and generally speaking chaos. Anyways, about Arbus vs. Goldin I havent got much to say, because I don't know Arbus very well. The few photos of her I have seen seem a bit weird to me in a negative way. So probabl you're right! I wish I could take pictures as Nan does!
i can't wait to get it in my hot little hands.... check out Aperture books online. it's only about 30 bucks.
